Emma

The site is supervised by Emma Martin PhD who is the Program Coordinator for the Early Childhood/Elementary Special Education Licensure Program in the College of Education at the University of Oregon. Dr. Martin plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the effective and efficient development and implementation of research-based training, on-going supervision and instructional support to pre-service teachers. Dr. Martin's areas of research activities and staff development include performance feedback, functional behavior assessment, and differentiated instruction. Dr. Martin has an extensive and comprehensive background in public education. Prior to her work in higher education, she worked as a special education teacher, general education teacher, and behavioral consultant. This experience allowed her to gain direct experience with students of all ages through teaching, consultation, behavioral assessment, and intervention development and implementation. As a consultant working with multiple school districts, Dr. Martin's experiences allowed her an opportunity to promote to on-going staff development, oversee data-based systems, negotiate with school districts, and work as part of an administrative support team.
